Special needs families have for too long been subject to harsh treatment by NYC Education Dept when seeking the proper out of district placements for their child. As a result, so many children had been forced to continue their education in less than optimal learning environments. We are excited the new mayor and his administration are serious about our most vulnerable in society and will ease the barriers for families seeking private school placement for their special needs child.
